Sebastian opened the door, twirling the flower in between his fingers. After asking a few people, he’d heard that Blaine was in the auditorium rehearsing. He leaned against the door frame and watched as Blaine tried a move he’d missed during the play. He’d covered it up quite smoothly and Sebastian had been rather impressed.
It had been an easy decision to stay after the show and congratulate Blaine on a fantastic performance. Sebastian was instantly attracted to Blaine, that was no secret. But after talking to him and getting to know him better, Sebastian had felt something more. It scared him a little if he was completely honest, he wasn’t used to feelings being involved.
He rolled his eyes when Kurt showed up and suddenly wished he’d gone straight down instead of watching. Sebastian walked down a few steps and continued to remain silent as he waited for Kurt to leave.
“Sebastian doesn’t mean anything to me.”
Sebastian lowered the hand containing the flower and stopped spinning it. He’d thought that Blaine at least considered him a friend, given the fact that he’d gone out for coffee with him and had danced with him at the bar. He blinked a few times and despite the urge to leave, his feet wouldn’t move.
Finally, when Blaine leaned forward and kissed Kurt, his feet seemed to remember what they could do and Sebastian immediately turned and fled from the auditorium.
That was the thing, when feelings were involved. You could get hurt.
